Wollongong City Council Australia Day Awards - Club & Open Men's Boat Crew were nominees
Wollongong City Council 2021 Australia Day Awards were held today at the Villa D'oro Function Centre in Wollongong.
Our club was fortunate to be nominated for Community Group of the Year & our Open Men's Boat Crew for the Sports Achievement Award.
Congratulations to our Open Men's Boat Crew on winning the award...Shane Geloven Dean Roberts Heath Mercer Ben Lowe & Fraser Worthington.
Club President Keith Caldwell accepted the award of behalf of the crew. Keith in some media commitments acknowledged that this crew deserves all the accolades, they train hard, row exceptional & are all good blokes. We should be proud of their efforts & achievements, they inspire more people to join our club, which is a good thing.
