Navy George Bass Surf Boat Marathon

2012 XV11 Navy George Bass Surfboat Marathon
&
Dial before You Dig Surf Ski Marathon

Commencing Sunday 1 January 2012
and finishing Saturday 7 January 2012

7 days, 7 legs
and 190km's of the best coastline in Australia
This is the Longest, Toughest Surfboat Race in the world. The Navy George Bass Surfboat Marathon commenced in 1975 and surf ski's were added to the event in the 1990's. It is a truly unique experience for all competitors, friendships are made for life once you become part of the Bass family.

Bulli SLSC has a very proud history in this premier surf boat marathon but this year we only have our Veteran's Male Boat Crew contesting this unique event along with Michael Locke who will contest the Ski Race. Unfortunately the timing of boat events (Ocean Thunder Series which our A Crew are rowing in) restricted another Open crew rowing.

Our Veteran's crew is Shane Geloven (Sweep), Craig Lunney, Rod Mercer, Chris Mercer, Darren Nicholls, Glen MacMillan, Jason Sparkes, Kingsley Baker & Peter McLaren.

But to keep up to date with daily happenings check out the surf club Face-Book page.

A story will appear early next week on how our crew & Michael went.
