Aussies is over again for another year.
Over 5,000 surf life savers plus families converged on Scarborough Beach Western Australia last week for the 2014 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships.
Congratulations to all of our athletes that ventured west, 38 in total plus a loyal band of parents & supporters also made their way west.
Our athletes made 21 finals which is a great effort.
Massive congratulations to our Australian medal winners;
Australian Champions U19 Men's Boat crew of Shane Geloven, Albert Smeaton, Iszak Lunney, Kyle Mercer & Toby Allnutt who have gone back to back winning gold again this year....outstanding effort.
And what about Michael Locke & Hannah Minogue who lead the whole way in the Open Mixed Double Ski only to be run down right on the finish line to place 2nd. Micheal winning his first Open Australian medal, he has won heaps of State. Australian & World Masters medals, but this is his first Open medal at 44 years of age....great team effort.
Hannah Minogue then picked up her second medal with a strong 3rd placing in the Open Female Single Ski behind two Olympians.
