Trivia Night - a great success
BULLI SLSC has a proud and successful history of members making representative teams. Last weekend our members and friends came along to a Trivia Night helping to raise funds for 4 young members of our club. On Wednesday Surf Life Saving New South Wales will be sending an U18 Pool Rescue Development Team (6 boys & 6 girls) to compete in the New Zealand (NZ) Pool Rescue Championships to be held in Henderson, Auckland. Massive congratulations to Abbey Dawson, Kiah Taylor & Daniel St George on making this team. They each have to find $1400 to assist with the tour.
Then next month we have Bernadette Cardillo heading over to Montpellier France to compete in the 2014 World Life Saving Championships as Bulli’s sole athlete. Our club President Keith Caldwell will also be heading over to France as the Australian Open Life Saving Team Manager.
Over 170 people attended on the night with Noel Freeman our MC....a senior team made up of our Treasurer Stuart Brown & friends came out on top, the team know as the Funk & Wagnails blew the other teams away with a strong performance!
Silent auction items along with some great prizes in the raffle made for heaps of people walking away with a prize on the night. There were also a few lucky door prizes that where given away as well.
