Shannon Eckstein Clinic - a success!
What a great day at the Shannon Eckstein Clinic held yesterday (Monday 18 January) at Bulli Beach.
Warm sunny conditions and close to 70 kids in age from U10 to U17 got the chance to meet Shannon Eckstein up close & personal. Shannon, who only the day before won his 9th Nutri Grain Iron-Man Series at North Cronulla and leading Queensland Coach Dan Norton-Smith, plus Head Club Coach Scott Jones & club member Jamie Caldwell took the kids through 4 work stations including wading, boady surfing, board paddling technique (they got to wacth themselves on video), board skills and then had a few fun races to finish of the day.
Bulli President Keith Caldwell, “ What a fantastic day with clear blue skies, warm surf conditions and a little wave for all the kids to challenge themselves under the guidance of Shannon & Dan. We had close to 70 kids from as far as Mollymook in the south to North Narrabeen in the north. These kids had the chance to train & play with arguably the best ever iron-man surf life saving has ever seen. They had a blast. I can’t thank Shannon & Dan enough for their efforts, also to everybody that assisted with water safety and the logistics of the whole day. Something that these kids will never forget.”
