Sportsman's Luncheon 3 May - great success
On Friday 3May @ Bulli Workers Club we held our Sportsman's Luncheon.
This is a post event follow up & update on how things went.....
It was a great day supported by our members, friends & sponsors of the club...128 in attendance with guest speakers Trent Waterhouse, Malcolm 'Miracle' Johnston & Duncan Armstrong outstanding along with MC Jared Constable.
As mentioned on the day part proceeds from 2 live auction items will be sent to the Go Fund Me fundraiser for Ross & Andrew Powell of Port Campbell SLSC who tragically lost their lives on Easter Sunday. RIP guys, you are heroes in our eyes.
Thank you to the businesses that supported the event with raffle. silent & live auction items, it was greatly appreciated.
A big thank you to our organising committee of Keith Caldwell, Greg Miller, Simon Jones, Jamie Caldwell & Glen Meznaric for their time & effort in coordinating the day.
We must also mention Sally Fitzgibbons & Trent Salisbury who donated items on the day as well, thank you so much!
A message from Duncan Armstrong OAM Olympian who was one of the guest speakers was really nice of him;
" A heartfelt thanks for inviting me to be part of a great sportsmen lunch with the happy Bulli SLC ‘family’.I thoroughly enjoyed myself from the time I walked into Bulli Workers Club to the time I walked out. Meeting everyone and sharing the stage with Trent and ‘Miracle’ was a privilege, so thank you very much gentlemen for organising all the travel arrangements and making me so welcome. Thanks again fellas and if there is anything I can do for you and the club in future please don’t hesitate to contact me ".
We made some $$$ on the day, it was a success.
